I collaborated with a group in class to create a podcast on the importance of education. We collaborated through the use of Google docs which I never used in the past. This was a really neat way to communicate our thoughts and in the end to have a "script" for the podcast. I still feel like I need to work on this area a bit because prior to learning about Google docs, I used mostly email as a means of communicating ideas. There are many different types of technology I could use for this such as ichat also, and I plan to work on this a bit more.
The backchannel in class allowed for communicating ideas directly related to what we were discussing in class. I really enjoyed the backchannel! I enjoy participating in class and this way I was able to talk without necessarily raising my hand every few seconds. I could say what was on my mind using the computer.
